When Erica Bilheimer was just 10, she embraced a new identity with her adoption by Heather and Steven Snapp, opting for the name “Hollynn” Snapp to mark this new chapter in her life.
Despite her adoption, Hollynn maintained a strong connection with Leslie Hunt, her former foster mother, who had cared for her for over a year. Throughout the years, Hollynn’s essence remained unchanged.
Now 19 years old, Hollynn stands at 4 feet, 9 inches and faces the challenges of a low IQ, possessing the mental capacity akin to that of a 10-year-old.
On October 5, Hollynn informed Heather via text that she planned to attend a party on Bell Ridge Drive. She mentioned she was going with Steven Linkous, a 52-year-old man introduced to her by a trusted friend. In her message, Hollynn noted that Linkous was uncomfortable with her sharing his name, a detail that piqued Heather’s concerns.
Hollynn sent Heather an address in Kingsport, explicitly stating, “Hey, this is where I am, and this is who I am with, although he didn’t want me to tell you his name,” but she disclosed his name nonetheless.
Leslie Hunt, Hollynn’s former foster mother, initially thought Hollynn might have entered inpatient treatment when she hadn’t heard from her for over a week. However, she was taken aback upon seeing a Facebook post from Heather Snapp, urgently inquiring if anyone had seen or spoken to Hollynn.
Heather tells Leslie about Hollynn’s last text, and they agree that if Hollynn had access to a phone, she would have reached out by now.
Heather struggles to get local authorities to take a missing person report, so the women report Hollynn missing to the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office.
After Hollynn is reported missing, Hollynn’s friend comes forward about leaving Hollynn at Linkous.’

Hollynn was last seen on October 5 at a “party” on Bell Ridge Drive in Kingsport, Tennessee. Witnesses said she had taken a beating and was not coherent.
Hollynn is described as weighing 90 pounds, with brown hair, hazel eyes, and an ‘Eye of Providence’ tattoo on her forearm.
