A routine check on a man asleep in a car in Adelaide led to a disturbing discovery yesterday.

In an unexpected turn of events, what began as a routine check by paramedics turned into a high-stakes emergency situation in Clovelly Park. Authorities discovered homemade explosives among other dangerous items inside a vehicle, raising alarms and leading to a swift response.

Residents on Harcourt Avenue had noticed the car, a blue Nissan, parked for several hours before authorities were alerted. The vehicle had been stationary since around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, but it wasn’t until concerned locals contacted emergency services at approximately 5:15 p.m. that action was taken.
