The President of the United States announced a significant military action targeting ISIS operatives in Northwest Nigeria. In a statement released on Truth Social, he declared, “Tonight, under my command as Commander in Chief, the United States has delivered a decisive and lethal blow to the ISIS terrorists in this region.”

The President highlighted the reason for this operation, pointing out that these militants have been relentlessly targeting and killing innocent Christians in numbers not witnessed for many years, if not centuries. “I had previously cautioned these terrorists that their reign of terror against Christians would not go unanswered,” he emphasized, adding, “Tonight, their actions have met with severe consequences.”

He praised the Department of War for executing what he described as “numerous perfect strikes,” showcasing the unparalleled capability of the United States military. “Under my administration, we will not permit Radical Islamic Terrorism to thrive,” he asserted firmly.

In closing, he extended his gratitude and blessings to the U.S. military forces, stating, “May God bless our military, and a Merry Christmas to all, including the terrorists who were eliminated. There will be many more casualties among them if they continue their attacks on Christians.” The message was unequivocal in its stance against terrorism while reiterating a commitment to protecting vulnerable communities worldwide.

“Under my leadership, our Country will not allow Radical Islamic Terrorism to prosper.

“May God Bless our Military, and MERRY CHRISTMAS to all, including the dead Terrorists, of which there will be many more if their slaughter of Christians continues.”

CNN has reached out to the White House for additional comment.

Trump has focused for the last several months on the plight of Christians in Nigeria, including calling in November on his secretary of defence to “prepare for possible action” and warning the US would enter Nigeria “guns-a-blazing” to protect the Christian population of Africa’s most populous country.
