In a move set to captivate gamers and tech enthusiasts alike, LG has introduced a cutting-edge range of gaming monitors ahead of CES. The new UltraGear evo series boasts high-end features, including 5K resolution and AI-powered upscaling, promising a superior gaming experience.
Among the stars of this new lineup are three flagship models: the 39GX950B, 27GM950B, and 52G930B. The initial numbers in each model name reflect the screen size, while the rest of the alphanumeric sequence remains a mystery to most.
The 39-inch GX9 stands out with its ultrawide 21:9 5K2K dual-mode OLED display. It offers an impressive refresh rate of 165Hz at full resolution, which can be boosted to 330Hz for fast-paced gaming at WFHD. Meanwhile, the 27-inch GM9 features innovative MiniLED technology, delivering brighter visuals without the typical halo effect associated with MiniLEDs. The 52-inch G9, on the other hand, offers a massive curved screen with a stunning 12:9 panoramic view, running at 240Hz in its native 5K2K resolution.
The GM9 model is particularly noteworthy, given LG’s role in supplying panels for Apple’s Pro Display XDR. Rumors suggest that this monitor may soon receive a much-anticipated update.
All three monitors are set to make a splash at CES next month. However, details regarding their pricing and release dates remain under wraps for now.
