In a development that deepens an ongoing mystery, new footage from the Cook County Sheriff’s Office has surfaced, shedding light on the case of a missing man from Merrionette Park, Illinois. This video, captured by a police body camera, features Dan Davis, who vanished over a month ago.

The footage reveals Davis exiting a police vehicle at approximately 12:30 a.m. on November 25. For his family, these images bring a mix of hope and frustration as they continue to grapple with his disappearance.

“It’s such a roller coaster,” expressed his daughter, Wendy Davis. “We constantly receive messages from people who believe they’ve seen my dad, but when we check the surveillance or photos, it’s not him. We appreciate their efforts, but it’s been this back-and-forth for the past month.”

This latest video shows the 59-year-old arriving at 115 Bourbon Street, a bar in Merrionette Park where he is employed. The footage provides a glimpse into his last known whereabouts, offering a critical piece to the puzzle for investigators.

According to his family, just over an hour before this footage was recorded, Davis was reportedly involved in a car accident near 119th Street and Avers Avenue in unincorporated Alsip. The circumstances surrounding the crash and his subsequent movements remain unclear, adding to the anguish of his loved ones who are desperate for answers.

A little more than an hour earlier, relatives say, he’d been in a car crash near 119th Street and Avers Avenue in unincorporated Alsip.

His family thinks he may have had a stroke or other medical episode prior to the crash.

“The camera footage of him leaving his apartment building, we have some videos of him, like kind of going around and trying to open his neighbors’ doors in the hallway and stuff, which was odd obviously,” Wendy Davis said.

In fact, the video shows Davis appearing confused about the squad car’s locked door.

Davis then appears to walk strangely, as he steps onto a curb.

“You can see his left leg not really bending that well, or he kind of struggles to pick it up. Or he almost uses his hand to help it up or something,” Wendy Davis said.

Hours after that recording, Davis was spotted by surveillance cameras, wandering around south suburban Blue Island.

Video showed him again the next day, on Nov. 26: his last confirmed sighting.

“We don’t even know if he’s still, like, in Illinois or in the city,” Wendy Davis said.
