The Texas Department of Public Safety has activated an AMBER Alert for a 14-year-old girl who is suspected of being with a 41-year-old man.

Maryuri Yolani Gomez Marquez was last seen around 8 a.m. on Sunday, near the 300 block of 13th St. in Plains. Authorities report she was in the company of Juan Orlando Garcia Sarmiento, aged 41.

According to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, Maryuri is a Hispanic female with a height of 5 feet, 1 inch and a weight of 125 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

Sarmiento is identified as a Hispanic male, standing 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing approximately 188 pounds. His features include black hair and brown eyes.

The two may be traveling in a black 2010 Ford F-150, bearing a Texas license plate number WGV-9997.
