The transfer window is officially open, and here are the latest updates brought to you by the Daily Mail Sport team.

PALACE SEAL £35m MOVE FOR JOHNSON

Crystal Palace has successfully secured the services of Brennan Johnson from Tottenham for a club-record fee of £35 million.

The Welsh international has committed to a four-and-a-half-year contract at Selhurst Park.

Despite joining Spurs in 2023, the 26-year-old winger has struggled for game time, featuring in just five league matches. He spent the first half of this season on loan with Villarreal after previously being loaned out to Leeds. His next destination looks set to be Italy for another loan stint.

Meanwhile, Borussia Monchengladbach has announced the acquisition of Spurs’ centre-back, Koka Takai, on loan until the end of June. The 21-year-old, who arrived last summer from Japanese club Kawasaki Frontale for £5 million, has yet to debut due to a foot injury.

LIVERPOOL TARGET TEEN DEFENDER

Liverpool is currently negotiating the potential signing of young center-back Ifeanyi Ndukwe from Austria Vienna.

The 6ft 5in Austria youth international would be part of the development squad initially and is expected to join after he turns 18 in March.

Ndukwe has been compared to former Spain defender Gerard Pique in style and was part of the Austria Under-17 squad which reached the World Cup final in November, where they lost to Portugal.

FOREST FORWARD A TARGET FOR FRANKFURT

Eintracht Frankfurt are trying to finalise a loan deal for Nottingham Forest forward Arnaud Kalimuendo. The 23-year old joined Forest last summer in a deal worth around £25m from Rennes.

GROSS RE-JOINS BRIGHTON

Pascal Grossl left the Seagulls in 2024 to join Borussia Dortmund but has returned to the Premier League side on a deal until 2027. He played more than 250 games for the club in his first stint and fell out of favour in Germany.

‘We are really pleased to have Pascal back with us,’ said Fabian Hurzeler.

‘He’s a fantastic player, someone I know well and was looking forward to working with when I first came to the club.

‘Brighton fans know his attributes, but he brings great leadership qualities to the group.

‘Those qualities, along with his experience and ability, will be a huge asset in the second half of the season.’

Solomon completes Fiorentina loan

Tottenham winger Manor Solomon has joined Fiorentina on loan.

Solomon, 26, was recalled from his loan spell at Villarreal, who he joined in January, and now joins the Serie A side until the end of the season.

The 26-year-old made 11 appearances for Villarreal, scoring once.

FREE AGENT FORSTER JOINS CHERRIES

Bournemouth have signed free agent goalkeeper Fraser Forster on a six-month deal to add cover.

The 37-year-old former Spurs keeper will be in Saturday’s squad to face Arsenal.

FULLKRUG COMPLETES MILAN MOVE

Niclas Fullkrug has joined AC Milan on loan, with an option to make the deal permanent, seemingly closing the curtain on his troubled spell at West Ham.

Fullkrug, 32, was cast as the Hammers’ striker saviour when he signed for £23million in August 2024 but has gone on to score just three goals in 29 appearances.

The Germany international is desperate to re-establish himself ahead of next summer’s World Cup and could even make his Milan debut tonight against Cagliari.

Argentine Castellanos, 27, also had interest from Flamengo and Leeds but is keen on a move to London and is discussing a four-year deal.

West Ham also remain in discussions to sign Fulham winger Adama Troare on a short-term deal and have discussed a loan for Chelsea‘s Raheem Sterling, but the 31-year-old only wants a permanent move.

Brazilian Pablo Felipe arrived for his medical on Thursday ahead of completing his move from Gil Vicente, while West Ham hope to offset their outlay by selling Luis Guillerme to Sporting Lisbon for £17.5m. The 19-year-old is due in Portugal for a medical.
