Authorities have detained an individual, though details regarding the specific charges remain undisclosed.

WASHINGTON — On Monday, an investigation unfolded at the residence of Vice President JD Vance in Cincinnati, as confirmed by various local news outlets.

According to WCPO, a television station based in Cincinnati, both city police and the U.S. Secret Service were present at the property during the early morning hours.

A Cincinnati police sergeant on the scene informed WCPO that a person had been apprehended, yet refrained from providing further details about the arrest or the individual’s identity.

Subsequent reporting from Fox News revealed that the detainee is suspected of vandalizing the property, specifically by shattering the exterior windows, as per the Secret Service’s statement.

Although Vice President Vance was not at the residence during the event, WLWT, another Cincinnati television station, noted that he had been at the house the previous week for holiday celebrations. He reportedly departed for Washington on Sunday afternoon, just prior to the arrival of law enforcement.

While Vance was at his Cincinnati home, the streets around the building were blocked off as a security measure by Secret Service agents. Those barricades had been removed by Monday morning, WCPO reported.

This is a breaking story and more information will be added as it becomes available.
