According to a statement released by Unicoi County Chief Deputy Frank Rogers, deputies were alerted by the Unicoi County Animal Shelter on Saturday after receiving a tip-off about possible animal abuse. Upon investigation, they reportedly found dogs suffering from severe malnutrition and in critical condition.
