Watch: Jimmy Kimmel Tells ICE, 'Get the F**k Out of Minneapolis'

On his Wednesday night show, ABC’s late-night host Jimmy Kimmel resonated with the sentiments of Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, declaring, “To ICE, get out of Minneapolis. Get out of all these cities.” His words were a direct echo of the mayor’s strong stance.

The audience erupted in applause as Kimmel held up a t-shirt emblazoned with the same bold message. He was addressing a recent incident involving a woman who drove into an ICE agent and was subsequently shot dead by the agent in a Minneapolis neighborhood. The woman, identified as 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good, was a U.S. citizen and mother of a six-year-old. According to the Department of Homeland Security, she was part of a protest group obstructing federal agents as they attempted to detain dangerous undocumented immigrants.

Mayor Frey intensified the situation by forcefully telling ICE agents to leave Minneapolis. His statement added fuel to the already fiery debate surrounding the incident.

In response to Good’s death, President Donald Trump also issued a statement, which Kimmel criticized. However, Kimmel did not mention that Good had reportedly struck the ICE agent with her car before being shot.

“I watched the video, and it didn’t seem like anyone was run over,” Kimmel explained to his audience. “It appeared to me that a frightened woman tried to escape, and they shot her. Ultimately, the courts will make the final judgment.”

President Donald Trump issued a similar statement responding to Good’s death, to which Kimmel lambasted and failed to inform his audience that Good actually hit the ICE agent with her car before she was shot.

“Now, I saw this video. It didn’t look anybody got run over to me,” Kimmel told the audience. “It looked to me like a woman got scared, tried to drive away, and they shot her. That’ll be for the court to decide.”

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said Wednesday an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer shot Good, who was “stalking and impeding” agents all day.

The number of DHS and ICE agents in Minneapolis had been surging for weeks, as part of President Trump’s ever-expanding crackdown criminal illegal migrants.
