Campbell Hatton, the son of the late boxing icon Ricky Hatton, has embarked on a new romantic relationship with Brooke Heaton, the daughter of one of his father’s closest friends.

Campbell, who has followed in his father’s footsteps as a former professional boxer, has made his relationship with Brooke public.

Brooke’s father, Simon Heaton, 46, has been a lifelong friend of Ricky Hatton, often referring to him as his “best pal.”

Brooke took to Instagram to wish Campbell a happy 25th birthday, sharing a heartfelt post on Friday.

“Happy birthday, Campbell. You are so special. Have the best day, I love you,” she expressed in her message.

The couple recently celebrated the New Year with a getaway, where Brooke joined Campbell and his family for the festivities.

Campbell and Brooke also spent time together over the Christmas period, while she joined him to watch a recent Manchester City match.

Campbell had shared his father’s love of Man City, with Ricky having been one of the club’s most famous fans.

Brooke’s father Simon, who is a non-league football manager, had appeared in the 2023 film ‘Hatton’.

He had joined four of Ricky’s close friends, where they spoke of Hatton’s incredible sporting talent and desire from a young age.

‘You’d be upstairs in the pub and you’d just hear ‘bang…bang. What’s that noise?’ Heaton said.

‘It would be Ricky downstairs banging the [punch] bags.’

Heaton had also talked up Hatton’s footballing abilities as a youngster, but he would ultimately pursue and thrive in the boxing ring.

Hatton became a popular character in boxing, unifying the light-welterweight division and winning a world welterweight title during his career.

Hatton passed away at the age of 46 in September after being discovered at his home. He was found having failed to turn up at the gym and at a fight he was expected to watch.

His son Campbell reflected on the loss in a post on Instagram reflecting back on 2025, which included a picture of a banner featuring the words ‘There’s only one Ricky Hatton’, alongside the Man City logo and boxing gloves.

‘Late one but spent new year in my dads favourite place,’ Campbell wrote on Instagram.

‘2025 as bad is it can get for me and mine. Lost the people close to me as well myself for most of it but started getting things back together over the last few weeks.

‘Long way to go still but here’s to a better 2026.’

Speaking in October, Campbell said he had taken comfort from the outpouring of support following Ricky’s death, with thousands turning out in Manchester to pay tribute on the day of his funeral.

‘It has been very up and down, really, but just as a family, we’re trying to take each day at a time, really,’ Campbell said in October.

‘He always said he was more proud of his fanbase than all the belts and his titles.

‘Surprised is probably the wrong word because it was obvious how much he was loved by the amount of people that followed him all over the world to watch him box.

‘To actually see everyone in the streets, it was a very long route that we went down, and there was never a point where the streets weren’t full. To actually see it in terms of the amount of people, it was surreal really.’
