GAINESVILLE, Fla. – In the early hours today, 32-year-old Jarvis James Wright found himself under arrest, facing charges related to issuing written death threats.

On January 14, a deputy from the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office examined text messages sent to the victim. After being read his Miranda rights, Wright allegedly admitted that his intent behind the threats was to express his anger and provoke the victim.

Wright is now facing charges for making written threats to kill and the unlawful use of a two-way communication device. Despite having no prior criminal convictions, Judge Susan Miller-Jones has set his bail at $100,000, requiring a GPS monitor upon his release.
