Rose Byrne and Jacob Elordi are leading the charge for Australia after the 2026 Academy Award nominees were announced overnight.

Following her recent triumph at the Golden Globes for the suspenseful film If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, Byrne is now in the running for an Oscar, contending for Best Actress with the same captivating role.

Elordi has also caught the attention of award panels, securing a nomination for Best Supporting Actor due to his compelling portrayal of the Creature in Frankenstein. This recognition comes on the heels of his Critics’ Choice Award victory for the same performance.
