Authorities in eastern Georgia are intensifying their search for a man who reportedly left a deceased woman at an Augusta hospital before making a hasty exit. The troubling incident has left both local law enforcement and the community seeking answers.
The deceased, identified through fingerprint analysis as 41-year-old Selena Johnson, was brought to the hospital under mysterious circumstances. According to a report from WRDW, Johnson was discovered in an unresponsive state, prompting immediate medical intervention.
A nurse from the hospital recounted how the man, now known to be Michael Lee Harrelson, assisted in carrying Johnson from the vehicle into the emergency room. Despite the urgency of the situation, she was unfortunately unconscious and not breathing at the time of arrival.
After delivering Johnson to the care of medical staff, Harrelson quickly returned to his vehicle and fled the premises, leaving investigators to piece together the unfolding mystery.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has since identified the man as 47-year-old Harrelson, though details on the methods used for his identification remain undisclosed. According to a post on the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, Harrelson is wanted for questioning regarding this incident and is further described as standing 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 153 pounds, bald, and with brown eyes. It has also been noted that he has outstanding warrants related to an unrelated case.
