A 21-year-old named Jaheim Muhammad is suspected of robbing multiple convenience stores and eateries in Jacksonville within just a few days.

In Jacksonville, Florida, a man has been charged in connection with a series of armed robberies that occurred over a short period.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reported that Jaheim Muhammad was taken into custody after allegedly threatening cashiers with a firearm at a minimum of five local convenience stores and fast-food outlets, all within a week.

According to the arrest report, officers were called to a Whataburger on San Jose Boulevard on January 17, where a cashier reported that a man dressed in black, wearing a surgical mask and crocs, had threatened them with a gun while demanding cash.

The following day, a similar robbery was reported at a Domino’s on Cassat Avenue. Investigators found that the suspect had fled using a Lyft ride. Using the ride details and surveillance footage, police tracked the suspect to his apartment complex, where they apprehended Muhammad.

The series of robberies is believed to have started on January 13 at a Dollar General on Old Kings Road South, with another incident occurring the next day at a Mobil gas station on Old St. Augustine Road.

In more than one of the incidents, witnesses described the suspect as having a distinct limp. During his arrest, police said Muhammad admitted he was recently shot in the leg.

Muhammad was booked into the Duval County jail on Jan. 18 and faces five charges of armed robbery and a charge of resisting officers, among others. His bond is set at more than $905,000.
