In the early hours of Tuesday, a homeowner in Los Angeles confronted two suspected burglars with gunfire, according to police reports.
The incident unfolded around 4:40 a.m. at a residence in Studio City. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to Fox News Digital that the homeowner discharged several rounds at the individuals who were allegedly trying to break into the home.
Following the shooting, the suspects made a hasty escape in a Chevrolet Traverse SUV, as stated by the police.
Authorities have not determined whether the suspects were hit by the gunfire or if any items were taken from the property. Fortunately, the homeowner emerged from the ordeal unscathed and is fully cooperating with the ongoing police investigation.

It was unclear if the suspects were struck or if anything was stolen from the home, police said. The homeowner was not injured and was cooperating with investigators, the LAPD said.
Their firearm was found at the scene.

Authorities were checking with local hospitals for anyone seeking treatment for gunshot wounds that match the time of the incident.
Investigators were also asking neighbors or potential witnesses in the area with surveillance video to contact authorities.
