In the early hours of Tuesday, a homeowner in Los Angeles confronted two suspected burglars with gunfire, according to police reports.

The incident unfolded around 4:40 a.m. at a residence in Studio City. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to Fox News Digital that the homeowner discharged several rounds at the individuals who were allegedly trying to break into the home.

Following the shooting, the suspects made a hasty escape in a Chevrolet Traverse SUV, as stated by the police.

Authorities have not determined whether the suspects were hit by the gunfire or if any items were taken from the property. Fortunately, the homeowner emerged from the ordeal unscathed and is fully cooperating with the ongoing police investigation.
