CHICAGO (WLS) — Viewers are in for a significant political event as ABC7 Chicago, the city’s leading television station, broadcasts the 2026 Democratic U.S. Senate Primary Forum. This event is scheduled for Thursday, January 29, at 7 p.m., and will be aired live without interruptions from commercials.
Moderating this hour-long forum is ABC7’s esteemed anchor, Judy Hsu. She will be joined by the station’s political reporter, Craig Wall, along with Enrique Rodriguez, a prominent anchor/reporter from WGBO/Univision Chicago, who will also pose questions to the candidates.

Three Democratic hopefuls vying for a U.S. Senate seat in Illinois will feature in the forum: U.S. Representative Robin Kelly, U.S. Representative Raja Krishnamoorthi, and Illinois Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton.
In selecting participants for this forum, all eligible candidates were considered. Invitations were extended to these three individuals based on their legal eligibility for the office, the presence of an active campaign website, ranking among the top three in fundraising by December 31, 2025, and their standing in independent polling, where available.
The forum will be accessible via live stream on ABC7Chicago.com, through ABC7 Chicago’s news app and Facebook page, as well as on ABC7’s continuous streaming channels.
For those who miss the live event, ABC7 will rebroadcast the forum following its late newscast on Friday, January 30, at 10:30 p.m.
The forum will also be translated and streamed live on Univision’s digital platforms, and it will air on Univision’s main channel on Saturday, Jan. 31, at 4:00 p.m.
