‘Today’ Show Host Savannah Guthrie’s Mother Remains Missing, Home an Active Crime Scene

Authorities in Arizona have uncovered signs of potential criminal activity at the residence of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, the mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie.

According to CrimeOnline, Nancy Guthrie was last seen in the Catalina Foothills region near Tucson, shortly before 10 p.m. on Saturday. Her home is located near the intersection of East Skyline Drive and North Campbell Avenue.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos expressed concerns after investigators observed troubling signs at her residence on Sunday, as reported by FOX News Digital. Authorities have not dismissed the possibility of foul play.

The search for Nancy Guthrie, who reportedly suffers from mobility challenges but not cognitive issues, is being conducted by the sheriff’s department in collaboration with the FBI.

Search efforts are bolstered by teams utilizing dogs and aerial resources to aid in locating her.

The “Today” show has released a statement on behalf of Savannah Guthrie regarding the situation.

“Today” published a statement from Savannah Guthrie.

“On behalf of our family, I want to thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers and messages of support,” she said. “Right now, our focus remains on the safe return of our dear mom.

Nancy Guthrie is described as a white female who stands 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing around 150 pounds. She has brown hair and blue eyes.

“We thank law enforcement for their hard work on this case and encourage anyone with information to contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department at (520) 351-4900,” Savannah Guthrie added.
