Republican Congresswoman Nancy Mace has called for Bill Gates to be subpoenaed to explain his connection with Jeffrey Epstein. This demand comes after Mace was moved by an interview given by Gates’ ex-wife, Melinda Gates.
Bill Gates is frequently mentioned in documents related to Epstein, and Melinda Gates shared in a recent interview that each time these stories resurface, it rekindles painful memories of her marriage’s end, which culminated in their 2021 divorce.
“After watching Melinda Gates’ interview last night, I immediately requested that the oversight chairman, James Comer, issue a subpoena for Bill Gates,” Mace announced on the platform X.
“I have questions for Bill Gates concerning Epstein,” she added.
During her appearance on NPR’s Wild Card podcast, Melinda Gates expressed her distress, saying, “It’s beyond heartbreaking. I think back to the ages of those girls and remember those times vividly, as both a young girl and as a mother of daughters.”
Mace Calls on Gates to Testify
“The resurfacing of these details is difficult for me personally,” she continued. “They bring back memories of some extremely painful periods in my marriage.”
Mace, a member of the House Oversight Committee, which is investigating the Epstein files, is now calling on Gates to testify before Congress.
Comer, the committee chair, on Tuesday announced that Bill and Hillary Clinton would testify over their relationship with Epstein later this month.
The committee last year requested former prince Andrew testify – but as a Briton he cannot be subpoenaed by Congress.
JD Vance in an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail on Tuesday backed Republican calls for King Charles’ brother to give evidence, citing recent comments by the British prime minister.

‘The only thing these documents demonstrate is Epstein’s frustration that he did not have an ongoing relationship with Gates and the lengths he would go to entrap and defame.’
Mace has been at the vanguard of Republican efforts to release the Epstein files as one of Capitol Hill’s foremost champions of justice for sexual abuse victims.
The Daily Mail has contacted Comer over whether he plans to call Gates to testify.
