Georgia Teen Smiles After Shooting Boy in Face & Neck, Killing Him Outside Football Game

A teenager from Georgia has received a life sentence for the murder of a 14-year-old boy, which took place after a high school football match in 2023.

As reported by Atlanta’s Channel 2 Action News, Kaomarion Kendrick, who was 17 at the time, was convicted of shooting Emmanuel Dorsey to death on September 30, 2023. The tragic event unfolded outside Griffin Memorial Stadium following a Griffin-Spalding football game.

Recently, a jury found Kendrick guilty of felony murder along with three counts of violating the RICO Act.

Authorities revealed that Kendrick shot Dorsey in the neck and face as Dorsey was walking down the street post-game. The shooting was reportedly the result of a conflict between “two rival cliques,” according to police.

Kendrick was apprehended nearly two weeks after the incident in a neighborhood in Henry County. FOX 5 Atlanta reported that when police captured him, he was “armed with a Glock handgun.”

Investigators noted that Kendrick and Dorsey were acquainted, as both were students at Griffin High School.

“I am incredibly proud of our office for bringing justice to this defendant and perhaps some degree of closure and comfort for Mr. Dorsey’s family,” said Acting District Attorney David Studdard.

“My personal message is that my office will relentlessly pursue those who commit violent crimes in our community and will bring them to justice.”

A judge sentenced Kendrick to serve life behind bars without the possibility of parole, along with an additional 85 years.

Emmanuel’s mother, Charlotte Williams, told Daily Mail that her son was “full of energy and life,” and would “walk into a room and it would just light up.”
