Pair charged with murder of woman's alleged ex-partner in Goulburn
A man and a woman have been charged over the stabbing death of a woman in Goulburn, New South Wales, last year.

At approximately 7 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2025, law enforcement responded to a welfare check at a residence on Joshua Street.

Upon arrival, officers were required to forcibly enter the home, where they discovered the body of a 48-year-old woman who had suffered multiple stab wounds.

In response to this tragic incident, authorities launched Strike Force Emsworth to thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.

Yesterday, around 8:30 a.m., police executed a search warrant in Goulburn, leading to the arrest of a 40-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man.

Both individuals have been charged with one count of domestic violence murder.

Police will allege the arrested woman had been in a relationship with the slain woman. (NSW Police)

Prosecutors will present evidence in court suggesting that the accused were acquainted with the victim and that the 40-year-old woman had previously been involved in a domestic relationship with her.

The man and woman were both refused bail and will appear in court today.
