Nearly a year since the debut of the iPhone 16e, Apple is set to introduce the iPhone 17e, as reported by Mark Gurman. This new model will incorporate the enhanced A19 chip from the iPhone 17 series, integrate MagSafe charging, and transition to Apple’s proprietary cellular chips. Notably, the tech giant aims to maintain its price point at $599, despite the rising costs of RAM and storage.
Gurman highlights Apple’s strategy to aggressively market the iPhone 17e in emerging markets and to business enterprises. He notes that with minimal updates anticipated from the Pixel 10a and Samsung’s focus on premium devices, Apple perceives this as a strategic opportunity.
Coinciding with the iPhone 17e launch, Apple is also expected to unveil refreshed versions of the iPad and iPad Air. These releases will include updated MacBook Pros and a MacBook Air equipped with an M5 processor. The entry-level iPad will boast an A18 chip, enabling Apple Intelligence support, while the iPad Air will upgrade to an M4 processor and adopt an OLED display.
According to Gurman, most of these product launches are anticipated by early March.
