Tucson’s ABC affiliate, KGUN9, has reported that a ransom note has surfaced, demanding a payment to be completed before 5 p.m. on Monday. The note allegedly contained threats to harm Nancy Guthrie if the ransom is not paid.

“Several ransom notes have been distributed to the media, including one received by us,” stated JJ McKinney of KGUN9.

Authorities have yet to verify the authenticity of the ransom note.

This demand followed a heartfelt plea made by Savannah Guthrie on Instagram over the weekend. She announced that her family is ready to pay for her mother’s safe return.

As previously covered by CrimeOnline, Nancy Guthrie was last witnessed at her home in Catalina Hills, Arizona, just before 10 p.m. on January 31. Her family reported her missing around noon on February 1 after she failed to attend church.

Investigators discovered blood on Nancy’s front porch, later confirmed to be hers. Officials noted that her doorbell camera was disconnected at 1:47 a.m. on February 1, and shortly thereafter, at 2 a.m., Nancy’s pacemaker sent a signal to her phone.
