Secret details of fights between Virginia Giuffre and her husband

Unsealed court documents have disclosed that police were summoned to the residence of Virginia Giuffre, a known victim of sex trafficking, and her husband, amid allegations of domestic violence.

These documents were part of a civil lawsuit involving Virginia and Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein’s assistant, and were made public in a December release of the Epstein files.

The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office in Colorado, where the couple previously lived, reported that Virginia accused her husband, Robert Giuffre, of hitting their dog, Bear, a husky, in March 2015.

Virginia alleged that when she attempted to stop him from harming the dog, Robert repeatedly punched her in the face with a closed fist.

Sheriff Brody Koch noted that Virginia made several 911 calls but disconnected before they could be answered.

Police officers arrived at the residence around 7 p.m. and conducted separate interviews with Virginia and Robert.

He said in the report that Virginia had bruises on her face, blood on her jumper and red marks near her collarbone, and didn’t want to tell him how she sustained her injuries.

‘Virginia moved slowly and deliberately, Virginia’s demeanour was quiet and distant,’ he wrote in the report.

‘I asked Virginia to tell me how she got the bruise,’ Koch wrote.

‘Virginia was very quiet and shy and stated: “I’d rather not say.”‘

Robert was arrested and taken to the police station.

Virginia then told officers her husband allegedly punched her multiple times in the side of the face and head, and that he choked her.

She said a ‘whitish or clear fluid mixed with the blood’ started seeping from her ear and that Robert had grabbed a 9mm semi-automatic pistol, ‘cocked it and placed it in his mouth’.

‘Virginia stated that Robert tried to get her to pull the trigger several times,’ the officer wrote.

She told police that she feared for her safety and retribution upon her husband’s release.

Police seized a gun, ammunition and a knife from the home.

According to the report, Robert told Koch he hit his wife during the altercation with the dog, calling it an ‘accident’ and saying he didn’t know how she got her injuries.

Nine’s current affairs program 60 Minutes reported last year that Robert was charged with domestic violence over the 2015 incident.

He pleaded guilty and was put on probation, the program reported, but denied abuse allegations.

The Daily Mail has contacted Robert for comment.

“The couple married ten days after meeting in Thailand in 2002 and moved to the US, before eventually relocating permanently to Australia. They lived on the NSW Central Coast, Far North Queensland and later in Western Australia.

They had three children before their marriage fell apart years later.

Last January, police were called to a domestic violence incident in Dunsborough, 250km south of Perth, where Virginia and Robert were holidaying with their three children.

They accused each other of violence, and no charges were laid but Robert took out a restraining order against Virginia, stopping her from seeing her children for six months.

Robert then appeared in court weeks later in February over one count of failing to store his ammunition in a locked cabinet at their farmhouse in Neergabby, in south-west WA.

Cops found two boxes of Winchester pellets, two boxes of 12-gauge shotgun shells, 25 Olympic blue 12-gauge shotgun shells, and a box of Fiocchi 12-gauge shotgun shells, court records said.

They also found eight boxes of 25 of 12-gauge shotgun shells, 400 long rifle CCI, and 22 bullets.

Robert was fined $500 and ordered to pay court costs of $300.50.

‘I have been through hell and back in my 41 years but this is incredibly hurting me worse than anything else,’ she wrote on Instagram in March, referring to the restraining order.

In April, Virginia took her own life at their farm in Neergabby.

Their adult sons, Christian, 19, and Noah, 18, are now embroiled in the series of claims and counterclaims with Karrie Louden, Virginia’s former lawyer, and her carer and housekeeper at the time of her death, Cheryl Myers.

The carer and housekeeper claim Virginia died with an implied will and did not want Robert to receive anything from her $25million estate.

Her sons argue their mother died without a valid will and their father should be entitled to a third of her estate, with the rest divided among the children, including her 15-year-old daughter.

Virginia’s estate comprises a 2022 payout of up to $24.5million from the former prince, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, $770,000 paid by paedophile Jeffrey Epstein in 2009 and an undisclosed sum paid by his associate Ghislaine Maxwell in 2017 after Giuffre sued her for defamation.

She owned four properties, including the $2.5million Perth beach house overlooking the Indian Ocean where Robert now lives with their three children, and the $1.3million farmhouse about 80km north of Perth where she took her life.

It was reported Virginia Giuffre feared losing this money amid the turmoil over her failed marriage.
