Memphis Man Charged With Uploaded Hundreds of Files of Child Sexual Assault Material

A Tennessee man, aged 48, has been taken into custody on accusations of uploading a vast number of child exploitation files.

Court records indicate that Michael Francis is alleged to have uploaded 539 images and 145 videos from May 11, 2024, to October 15, 2024, as reported by WHBQ. Google initially flagged the content, but the alert navigated several channels before reaching the Memphis Police Department.

The affidavit in the case reveals that Google identified Francis through the name he provided and two phone numbers verified to be his.

During the same timeframe, the user also uploaded self-produced, non-pornographic images and videos that matched known photographs of Francis, further linking him to the account.

Francis faces charges of sexual exploitation of a minor and is currently held on a $75,000 bond, awaiting a bond review set for Friday.
