An Ohio resident is accused of fatally shooting his girlfriend under the suspicion of infidelity, as revealed in a 911 call where he reportedly stated she “got what she deserved” and expressed his unwillingness to surrender without a “fight,” according to legal documents.

The accused, Jayme Rogers, 34, is facing charges of murder and other serious offenses related to the alleged killing of his 33-year-old girlfriend, Jaime Dick, early Tuesday morning, as per information from online court records.

Jaime Dick, a mother of two, was discovered deceased in her still-running vehicle near her Dayton home at approximately 2 a.m., as detailed in an arrest affidavit obtained by local CBS affiliate WHIO. Rogers himself dialed 911 to report the incident, confessing to shooting Dick three times over suspicions of her infidelity, the affidavit claims.

“Get here quick, someone is shot,” Rogers reportedly stated at the beginning of the 911 call, according to police sources. He allegedly told the dispatcher that Dick “got what she deserved” and insisted he wouldn’t be apprehended without a “fight,” as reported by the Dayton Daily News, which referenced court documents.

Upon law enforcement’s arrival, Rogers emerged from a residence, openly admitting to the shooting. Officers allegedly discovered bullet casings both on the street and on the sidewalk near Dick’s car, which had a shattered passenger window.

Rogers has been arrested and charged with murder, felonious assault, unlawful possession of weapons, and firing a weapon in a restricted area. His bond is set at $1 million, with his next court date scheduled for February 20.

An obituary for Dick says she is survived by her two children.

“Jaime will be remembered as a loving mom, a devoted daughter, and the very best sister a family could ever ask for,” the obit says. “She was a beautiful soul in every sense of the word, inside and out, whose kindness, strength, and unwavering love left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her.”
