A tragic incident unfolded on Thursday night in Jacksonville, as a woman lost her life in a hit-and-run accident while riding an electric scooter, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reported.
The fatal collision occurred around 9:20 p.m. along the 6300 block of Jammes Road. Authorities detailed that the woman was traveling south on her e-scooter when she was hit by a vehicle moving in the same direction.
Shockingly, the driver involved in the crash fled the scene without stopping or offering assistance to the victim, who was declared deceased at the location of the accident.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information regarding this heartbreaking incident to come forward.
