The ongoing search for a missing elderly woman from Tennessee has now crossed state lines into Kentucky, law enforcement officials have confirmed.
Alama Fowler, aged 75, vanished on February 12 and was last spotted near Herrington Road in Camden, Tennessee, as reported by WSMV 4. She reportedly left the area on foot, prompting police to issue a Silver Alert to aid in her discovery.
Benton County Sheriff Kenny Christopher emphasized the extensive efforts being made in the search operation. “Every effort was made during this critical search. We are still in the area of Herrington Road on a limited search,” Christopher stated on Wednesday. He also noted that the investigation has now broadened its scope, reaching into surrounding counties and extending into another state.
Concerns for Fowler’s well-being are heightened due to a medical condition that may hinder her ability to navigate her way home safely. Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any sightings.
Fowler is described as being 4 feet, 11 inches tall, weighing approximately 110 pounds, with brown eyes and grey hair. According to Lex 18, she was last seen wearing attire that could assist in her identification.

Fowler has a medical condition that could possibly prevent her from returning home safely.
She’s described as standing 4 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing around 110 pounds. She has brown eyes and grey hair. According to Lex 18, Fowler was last seen wearing:
- A green puffy jacket
- Tan jeans
- White snow boots
- White head band
“Due to the sensitive nature of the investigation,” police haven’t released additional details, Christopher added. However, K9 unit, park rangers, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol are assisting in the search.
