An air ambulance team and a mobile intensive care unit equipped with advanced life support paramedics quickly arrived at the scene to transport Chris Rua Antony to the hospital.

Today, his family shared the heartbreaking news of his death on February 20, expressing gratitude for the community’s support following the tragic incident.

“With deep sorrow and steadfast faith in the promise of eternal life, we announce the passing of our beloved son who was called to the Lord on Friday, February 20, 2026, after courageously battling for seven days in the hospital after the tragic accident,” the family stated.

The incident involved a 48-year-old woman whose station wagon veered off the road, striking the teenager before colliding with a tree. She sustained minor injuries.

Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
