Authorities report that a group of four masked individuals confronted a man, physically assaulted him, and then forced him into a Hyundai hatchback.
In response to the incident, a strategic undercover operation, known as Strike Force Martinook, was launched to rescue the kidnapped individual.
Detectives from the strike force arrived at a location in Dural at approximately 10:30 a.m. today, where they successfully located and freed the 53-year-old victim.
The man was evaluated by paramedics from NSW Ambulance and subsequently transported to a hospital. He is currently in stable condition.
Additionally, a 16-year-old male was apprehended at the Dural site and is now being held at Castle Hill Police Station.
Investigations are still underway, with Strike Force Martinook continuing to probe the case.
