In the aftermath of the recent joint military operations by the United States and Israel against Iran, the Middle East has witnessed a tragic toll, with fatalities reported across the region. CNN has compiled data providing a clearer picture of the impact.

Iran: There is some discrepancy in the fatality figures emerging from Iran. The state-affiliated Press TV, referencing the Iranian Red Crescent, reports that 201 individuals have lost their lives due to the strikes. Conversely, the Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), based in the United States, reports at least 133 civilian deaths.

Israel: The recent hostilities have claimed the lives of at least 10 individuals in Israel. Nine of these fatalities occurred when a bomb shelter in Beit Shemesh was hit, and another person perished after a missile struck the Tel Aviv region, per reports from Israel’s emergency services.

Iraq: In Iraq, a US-Israeli strike specifically targeted a base of the Popular Mobilisation Forces, an Iran-supported paramilitary group. This attack resulted in the deaths of four of its members, as confirmed by the militia’s Media Directorate via Telegram.

United Arab Emirates: Iran’s retaliatory strikes have led to three casualties in the UAE. One individual was killed by debris after Iranian missiles were intercepted over Abu Dhabi, and another person died following a drone strike at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi.

Kuwait: The Kuwaiti health ministry has reported one fatality due to Iranian strikes, marking the conflict’s reach into Kuwait.

Other: Three US service members were killed in action during the US’ military operation against Iran, US Central Command said on X. It did not share details on when or where these service members were killed.
