Kim Kardashian and her daughter, North West, were recently seen leaving a Los Angeles recording studio after a nighttime session.

The 45-year-old media mogul, who has been rumored to be romantically linked with Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton, was there to support her eldest child as they spent time together honing North’s burgeoning musical talents.

This outing follows the recent announcement of a significant contract North, 12, has secured with Mariah Carey’s company to further her singing career.

Kardashian opted for a casual yet chic ensemble, donning a black trench coat paired with black pants and comfortable footwear.

Her hair was styled in a casual messy bun, and she accessorized with a fashionable purse draped over her right arm.

The SKIMS founder chose a minimal makeup look as she walked alongside North, who was dressed in a black sweatshirt and coordinating sweatpants adorned with silver details.

The preteen’s hair was pulled back into a simple ponytail and she completed the outfit with fashionable shades. 

Kardashian and North were spotted exiting the studio and jumped into a silver SUV before heading to their next destination. 

The media personality shares the 12-year-old as well as Saint, 10, Chicago, eight, and Psalm, six, with ex-husband Kanye West. 

Last month in February, North officially inked a deal with the label Gamma – an independent entertainment firm run by former Apple executive Larry Jackson, which has signed Mariah Carey.

Sources told Rolling Stone that North has already begun recording sessions in a studio under the new partnership.

Gamma has quickly built a star‑studded client list since launching in 2023, working with Usher, Sexyy Red and Snoop Dogg.

The company has also partnered with her father, now known as Ye, for the release of his upcoming album Bully.

The child is homeschooled rather than attending a regular classroom, which both parents think is the right fit for her.

The tween’s own output has been ramping up. Her latest track, Piercing on My Hand, arrived in early February, reportedly through Gamma, with production from Ye and Will Frenchman. 

And back in January, North gave a surprise duet performance during West’s Mexico City concert. 

The pair performed his 2014 track Only One for the sold-out crowd in attendance as fog filled the stage. 

Along with Only One, West and the preteen had the chance to perform other songs as well as including the song Piercing On My Hand, per Billboard.

Elsewhere during the concert, the rapper performed other hit songs such as Heartless, Mercy and Can’t Tell Me Nothing.

North wrote Piercing On My Hand with her father – and is seemingly a response to negative criticism towards her piercings.

Last year in January, North made a surprise feature on FKA Twigs’ third studio album, EUSEXUA. She garnered mixed reactions from fans as she fluently rapped in Japanese on the track titled, Childlike Things.

The year before, North also stunned listeners when she sang in Japanese on her father’s Vultures 2 album.

North had made the big announcement at a Vultures 2 listening party in Arizona with her father standing nearby on stage.

‘Hi, it’s Northie, and I’ve been working on an album. And it’s called Elementary School Drop Out,’ she expressed, which resulted in the crowd to erupt into cheers and applause.

Back in 2024, North made her acting debut as Young Simba during The Lion King’s 30th Anniversary concert.

She took to the stage at The Hollywood Bowl to perform I Just Can’t Wait To Be King while wearing a lion costume.

According to The Sun, the reality TV star has filed multiple trademark applications for NOR11, covering clothing, accessories, jewelry and bags.

The filings were submitted through KimYe’s Kid Inc, with Kardashian listed as an officer. North has already been spotted wearing hats branded with the NOR11 logo.

While Ye’s involvement in her business plans remains unconfirmed, his influence is clearly shaping her early creative path.
