'Iran will be hit very hard!': Trump issues warning after Iranian president's defiant comments

Iran‘s president apologised on Saturday for attacks on regional countries even as its missiles and drones flew toward Gulf Arab states, indicating that Tehran’s political leadership could not exercise full command over Iran’s armed forces.
President Masoud Pezeshkian, one member of a tripartite leadership council overseeing Iran since a February 28 airstrike started the war and killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, delivered the defiant message exactly one week into a conflict that has spread across the region, rattled global markets and air travel and left Iran’s own leadership greatly weakened by hundreds of Israeli and American airstrikes.

Amid escalating tensions in the Gulf, the Iranian president sought to calm regional anger following a series of missile and drone attacks that caused significant disruptions. These incidents, which occurred just hours prior, led to flight disturbances at Dubai International Airport, targeted a key Saudi oil facility, and forced residents in Bahrain to seek shelter multiple times.

Meanwhile, Iranian official Pezeshkian continued to criticize former President Trump’s demands for Iran’s unconditional surrender, dismissing them outright.

“That’s a dream they should take to their grave,” Pezeshkian stated emphatically.
