An Ohio resident, known for his extensive tattoos, found himself behind bars following an incident where stray bullets from his property allegedly hit two individuals at a nearby grocery store, authorities reported.

According to the Hamilton Township Police Department and local media, 40-year-old Jayson Hall was discharging a firearm on his premises when one of the bullets inadvertently struck two shoppers in the entrance area of a Kroger in Maineville around 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

The injured parties were promptly transported to area hospitals for treatment, though their injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Investigators also discovered a bullet hole in one of the store’s automatic glass doors. According to WLWT5, the police have indicated the shooting appeared to be accidental.

Hall was detained shortly after the episode, which led to the temporary closure of the Kroger and the surrounding roads as authorities conducted their investigation.

“We extend our gratitude to all the agencies that assisted in ensuring the safety of everyone involved,” the police shared in a Facebook post.

“Their quick response and support exemplify the teamwork among law enforcement agencies in our region. We also appreciate the patience and cooperation shown by members of the community while officers investigated the incident.”

Hall was hit with two counts of assault, two counts of negligent assault, one count of inducing panic, and one count of improperly discharging a firearm.

He is being held at the Warren County Jail.
