The heartwarming tale of a 10-month-old puppy’s safe return after a distressing theft has captivated Melbourne. Dora, the young canine who went missing from outside a local shopping plaza, is now back with her relieved owners.

Surveillance footage had shown three women leading Dora away, prompting a widespread appeal for her return. The community, moved by the plight of the puppy and her family, quickly mobilized online, sharing images and videos in hopes of bringing Dora home.

“Since Monday, extensive searches for Dora have taken place, with videos of the puppy and images of three women being widely shared online,” stated Victoria Police.

The search ended successfully when police discovered Dora at a residence in Noble Park, approximately 30 kilometers from where she was initially taken. This morning’s recovery was a significant relief for all involved.

Following the discovery, a 19-year-old woman was apprehended at the Barnett Grove home and is currently being interviewed by authorities. Additionally, a 27-year-old woman from Richmond has voluntarily presented herself to the police.

A 27-year-old Richmond woman has since handed herself in to a police station.

She was also taken into custody to be interviewed.

Police are still searching for a third woman.

Wong yesterday told media he was desperate to reunite Dora with his four-and-a-half-year-old daughter.

“She misses Dora very much, they are like sisters,” he said.

“[Dora] means so much to her.”

Dora was uninjured and has since been reunited with her family.
