A somber discovery occurred over the weekend in Maryland, as officials revealed on Monday that a 75-year-old math teacher was found deceased inside an elementary school. The educator, Deborah Tolson, had been a cherished member of the Arundel Elementary School community in Baltimore.

Deborah Tolson, who served as a math interventionist, had dedicated 23 years to Baltimore City Public Schools, including the last seven years at Arundel Elementary. Principal Kerry-Ann Malcolm expressed the profound loss in a heartfelt message to the school community, describing her as a “pillar of the school community” who was deeply loved by both students and staff.

The discovery of Tolson’s passing was shared by the school’s principal, Kerry-Ann Malcolm, who emphasized the significant impact she had during her tenure. Malcolm, in her letter, highlighted Tolson’s beloved status among colleagues and learners alike, underscoring the gap her absence will undoubtedly leave.

In the aftermath of her passing, Baltimore City police confirmed to Fox News Digital that their investigation revealed no signs of trauma or foul play. The circumstances surrounding her death remain a mystery, but the focus remains on honoring her contributions and mourning her loss.
