LOS ANGELES — As anticipation builds for the Oscars this Sunday, ABC and On The Red Carpet are offering an insider’s glimpse into the glitz and glamour of Hollywood’s biggest night, along with the preparation that goes into creating this iconic event.
Comedian Conan O’Brien is set to return as the host for the second consecutive year, and he’s sharing his plans on the special, “On The Red Carpet at The Oscars Preview.”

O’Brien expressed the unpredictable nature of live events, saying, “Things could go right, they could go left, they could go sideways, and you gotta be ready. I think there are some things that I’ve planned that I really like, that I’m proud of, and could be good moments. But again, you’ve got to see it all on its feet. We are working on this thing up until the last minute, and then throughout the show, it’s still in play.”
The special will also feature a playful Oscars-themed game between Conan and On The Red Carpet’s George Pennacchio, guaranteed to bring some laughs.
For K-Pop enthusiasts, there’s an exciting preview of a landmark performance. The Oscar-nominated song “Golden” from “KPop Demon Hunters” will be performed live at the event, a historic first for a K-Pop song at the Oscars.
“As a Korean American and also a former K-pop trainee and just being in K-pop in general, I feel incredibly proud,” gushed “KPop Demon Hunters” performer and songwriter EJAE.

For the first time in 25 years, a new category has been added to the Oscars: Casting. The award recognizes casting directors and the work they do to help bring scripts to life. Jennifer Venditti is nominated for her role as casting director for “Marty Supreme.” She explains to George Pennacchio why she thinks her career is perfect for her.
“This work started for me being obsessed with people watching. I always say I’m like psyched to be on jury duty. I love the DMV. I love all the places that people hate,” Venditti muses.

During the special, you also hear from nominated casting director Gabriel Domingues, who explains the process behind finding the perfect performers for “The Secret Agent.”
