An occult-themed podcaster known for exploring the realms of the supernatural and conspiracy theories has confessed to the murder of his girlfriend.

On Wednesday, Tobias Marcus Nuttall, 32, admitted to the fatal stabbing of 30-year-old Alisha Lauren Hendren-Krippner at a residence in Perth. This admission was made during a session at Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court.

Hendren-Krippner was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital in critical condition, suffering from multiple injuries, and tragically, she succumbed to her wounds on the same day.

Defense attorney Simon Watters revealed that after discussions with the prosecution, an agreement was reached acknowledging Nuttall’s “criminal responsibility” for the incident.

Nuttall, appearing via video link, displayed no visible emotion as he pleaded guilty. He was seen with a bushy beard, a cross necklace, and slicked-back shoulder-length hair.

The case has been postponed until April 13 for a preliminary mention before sentencing is scheduled in the Western Australia Supreme Court at a date yet to be determined.

Nuttall was the co-host of a news review podcast called WakingWorld.

In an episode published about a month before Nuttall killed Hendren-Krippner he and a British co-host named Dale discuss werewolves and the “deeper meanings behind Christian practice and what it means to embody or resist our wildest instincts”.

After Nuttall’s arrest, Dale reportedly told their listeners that his co-host would no longer be appearing on the show because had been charged with a serious offence but the episode appears to have been deleted.
