ORLANDO, Fla. – One of the highlights of “Trooper Steve on Patrol” is having the opportunity to introduce you to the individuals who are instrumental in narrating the stories that resonate within our community.

In Thursday’s broadcast, we had the pleasure of doing just that. I had the honor of presenting our latest community correspondent, Amy Russo, and it’s clear from the outset that she is poised to make a significant impact.

Amy’s roots are in Alabama, but she grew up in Florida, which gives her a deep connection to the local culture. Interestingly, her career journey didn’t begin in journalism. Initially aspiring to enter the medical field, she eventually discovered her knack for and love of public speaking.

This newfound passion naturally guided her into the realm of storytelling.

Now, as a part of the News 6 team, Amy is excited to help illuminate your stories through her work.

During our session on the stream, viewers got a glimpse of her vibrant personality, heard about her journey, and felt the dynamic energy she brings to the team. Believe me, her contributions extend far beyond mere reporting.

We also learned she’s a pretty serious cook… so that might be something we have to explore a little more down the road.

Take a few minutes and check out the full Trooper Steve on Patrol stream to meet Amy Russo for yourself. I think you’ll see exactly why we’re excited to have her here.

And as always, thanks for riding along with me.
