Hollywood goes crazy as Raising Cane’s hits 1,000th location

Step aside, Walk of Fame—there’s a fresh star in town on Hollywood Boulevard.

Raising Cane’s has just launched its milestone 1,000th restaurant, choosing none other than a buzzing, LED-illuminated venue in Hollywood for this grand celebration. The location is already attracting throngs of both tourists and residents, all eager to savor the chain’s renowned chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, and the iconic Cane’s Sauce.

The journey of this Louisiana-based chain has been nothing short of remarkable, evolving from its modest origins near Louisiana State University.

Leading the charge is Todd Graves, a Baton Rouge local and the visionary behind this finger-licking empire. During his college years, Graves concocted the idea of a restaurant dedicated solely to serving chicken fingers, fries, coleslaw, Texas toast, and a distinctive dipping sauce.

Despite facing skepticism from banks and receiving a low grade on his business plan, Graves persevered. He took on demanding jobs, such as welding in oil refineries and fishing in Alaska, diligently saving money to open the first Raising Cane’s in 1996.

The result was an unparalleled fast-food success. Graves remained committed to a streamlined menu, resisted brand dilution, and methodically expanded nationwide, culminating in the Hollywood flagship’s debut as their 1,000th location.

Forbes now estimates his net worth at $22 billion, making him one of America’s wealthiest restaurateurs. Minimalist menu, maximum flavor, that’s his winning formula.

Industry watchers say the milestone proves Cane’s formula is still hitting home. And the chain isn’t slowing down: more locations are slated for California and beyond this year, signaling that Raising Cane’s isn’t just celebrating its past, it’s building its future.
