'Daredevil: Born Again' returns for the highly anticipated Season 2

Marvel Television’s much-anticipated “Daredevil: Born Again” is making a comeback with its second season.

Set against the gritty backdrop of New York City, the new season promises viewers an action-packed experience, with eight episodes that raise the stakes and deliver intense emotions. We recently caught up with the stars who shared their excitement about what’s to come.

“We’re pushing boundaries and doing things we’ve never attempted before,” revealed Vincent D’Onofrio, who returns as the formidable William Fisk, also known as Kingpin.

Charlie Cox, reprising his role as the fearless Matt Murdock, also known as Daredevil, echoed this enthusiasm. “It’s incredibly exciting,” he said. “Some of the coolest stuff we’ve ever done is in this season.”

The dynamic between these off-screen friends and on-screen foes is set to captivate audiences once again in this eagerly awaited season.

“The story builds slowly, but it reaches a crescendo that’s simply unbelievable,” Cox teased. “The ending is very explosive, and fans won’t want to miss it.”

Cox is back as Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer who moonlights as the vigilante Daredevil.

D’Onofrio returns as Wilson Fisk, the crime boss known as Kingpin. He’s now the mayor of New York City, where martial law rules.

D’Onofrio is a Brooklyn native.

“The city is almost like the main character of the show,” he says. “As a New Yorker, you know, I think we’re going to deliver.”

Thanks to Fisk, New York City is under threat. Daredevil and his allies are fighting from the underground.

Much of the production is happening here, on the real streets of the city.

“It’s like this huge thing that I don’t think we’ll ever experience on this kind of scale again,” says D’Onofrio.

The creators say they’re already shooting season three, with both the action, and the humanity, getting bigger and deeper.

“Daredevil is very much real people with sort of strange wants and desires and challenges and vulnerabilities,” says executive producer Sana Amanat.

“And now we get to dig in on them,” adds Executive Producer and Showrunner Dario Scardapane.

D’Onofrio and Cox have been in these roles for more than a decade. With each scene, they say the stakes are higher.

“We care so much, we work so hard,” says Cox. “The trajectory of the season is, I think, beautiful.”

Season 2 of “Daredevil: Born Again” premieres March 24 at 9 p.m. on Disney+.

There are 8 episodes that drop weekly on Tuesday nights.

The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of this ABC station.
