A Florida man is in custody following a dramatic incident at Daytona Beach International Airport, where he allegedly crashed through a gate and drove onto the airfield in an attempt to board an airplane, authorities reported.

Police were called to the scene at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday after receiving reports of a blue Ford Mustang breaching a gate at the airport’s international terminal, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.

Eyewitnesses claimed the Mustang’s driver narrowly avoided colliding with a taxiing airplane as he recklessly maneuvered across the airfield, officials stated.

Bryan Parker's Florida mugshot

Bryan Parker, 58, faces multiple charges, including aircraft piracy, driving under the influence, two counts of indecent exposure, criminal mischief, and burglary of an unoccupied conveyance. These charges stem from his alleged actions on March 25, 2026, when he reportedly crashed through a gate and attempted to board three planes at the airport.

Authorities say Parker exited his vehicle on the airfield and approached a plane that was occupied and in operation, trying to gain entry.

Upon discovering the plane was locked, Parker allegedly ran to two other unoccupied planes and briefly entered them before airport personnel and security from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University intervened.

An airport operations technician subsequently pulled Parker out of a plane and sat him on his truck’s tailgate, but he jumped off the vehicle and began running toward another plane before he was once again detained.

Body camera video shows the moment Parker reveals to deputies that he is under the influence of alcohol and drugs, causing him to not remember what led up to the incident.

“I don’t remember, I was at my house,” Parker can be heard telling officers. “I went to an AA meeting and next thing you know, I’m doing cocaine, drinking and smoking pot.”

“So you were doing a lot of drugs and ran through a gate?” the officer asks.

“Yeah, and I crashed my car,” Parker replies.

Parker is then seen sitting on the ground near an active taxiway while in handcuffs, telling officers to, “take me away.”

Parker was subsequently taken into custody and charged with aircraft piracy, driving under the influence, two counts of indecent exposure, criminal mischief and burglary of an unoccupied conveyance, according to jail records.

He is being held without bond in the Volusia County Jail.

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
