St. John, Indiana woman Jenna Strouble, charged with murder after 3 Crete Township deaths on East Norway Trail, waives extradition

In Crete Township, Illinois, a 30-year-old woman from Indiana has been formally charged with first-degree murder following the deaths of three individuals in what authorities describe as a “targeted” attack. She has agreed to be extradited to Illinois to face charges.

The Will County Sheriff’s Office announced that law enforcement officers traveled to the Lake County Jail in Indiana to escort Jenna Strouble, of St. John, back to Illinois. Strouble agreed to the extradition process during a court appearance on Thursday.

Officials revealed that Strouble had a personal relationship and children with one of the victims, 32-year-old Jacob Q. Lambert. Tragically, Lambert’s parents—Stacy J. Forde, aged 54, and Patrick J. Forde, aged 55—were also killed in the incident.

The Sheriff’s Office disclosed that Strouble made statements implicating herself in the crime. Additionally, investigators recovered a firearm at the scene that matches the weapon used in the murders.

The other two people killed were Lambert’s parents, Stacy J. Forde, 54, and Patrick J. Forde, 55, Will County officials said.

The sheriff’s office said Strouble made incriminating statements after the murders, and police recovered a gun that matched the one used in the incident.

Police said Lambert was found dead in a car in the driveway Monday, and his parents were found dead inside the home, on the first floor, near the front door, in the 3400-block of East Norway Trail in Crete Township.

Strouble was taken into custody in St. John.

Officials said Lambert and his parents lived in the home, where they were found.

Autopsies were performed Tuesday, and final cause and manner of death will be determined after police and toxicology reports, the coroner’s office said.

The sheriff’s office said the incident appears to be domestic in nature and there is not a threat to the public.

Neighbors reported hearing gunfire before the bodies were found.

Strouble is due in court Monday.
