The mayor of a Colombian town has revealed that a body, likely belonging to a missing American, has been located.
The individual in question, Eric Fernando Gutierrez Molina, was a 32-year-old flight attendant with American Airlines, hailing from Texas. He had vanished while visiting Colombia, as per various reports.
“Since last Sunday, we’ve been actively searching for Eric Gutiérrez, a U.S. citizen reported missing,” shared Medellín’s Mayor Federico Gutiérrez in a post on X, translated from Spanish, on Friday.

“Regrettably, a deceased individual has been discovered between the towns of Jericó and Puente Iglesias,” he stated.
“There is a significant likelihood that this is the person we have been searching for.”

“We are heartbroken by the tragic passing of our colleague,” American Airlines noted in a statement provided to Fox News Digital Saturday.
