The innovative minds behind Bluesky have introduced their latest creation—Attie, a cutting-edge AI assistant designed to empower users with the ability to craft personalized algorithms. Unveiled at the Atmosphere conference by former Bluesky CEO Jay Graber and CTO Paul Frazee, Attie operates using Anthropic’s Claude AI and is built upon the foundational AT Protocol (atproto) of Bluesky.

With Attie, users gain the capability to generate customized feeds through simple natural language commands. For instance, you might request, “posts about folklore, mythology, and traditional music, particularly Celtic traditions.” Initially, these personalized feeds will be accessible only within a standalone Attie application. However, there are plans to integrate them into Bluesky and other applications utilizing the atproto framework.

This is merely the beginning. Attie will eventually allow users to code their own applications on the atproto platform. In a recent blog post, Graber elaborated on this vision, emphasizing the potential for user-driven app creation.

Currently, Attie is in a closed beta phase, but those interested can join the waiting list by visiting attie.ai.
