Trump on Tiger Woods' Florida rollover DUI crash, tells The Post Vanessa's boyfriend endures 'a life of pain'

WASHINGTON — In a conversation with The Post, former President Donald Trump revealed that he reached out to famed golfer Tiger Woods following Woods’ DUI incident in Florida last Friday. Trump expressed empathy for Woods, noting that the athlete endures significant physical pain from past injuries but is otherwise “doing great.”

During a phone interview on Tuesday, Trump confirmed, “I have spoken with Woods. I think he’s doing great; he’s doing good.”

The 50-year-old sports icon, who is currently in a relationship with Vanessa Trump, the former spouse of Donald Trump Jr., was discovered with two hydrocodone pills in his possession after being involved in a car accident on Jupiter Island. Woods reportedly told law enforcement that he lost control of his vehicle while glancing at his phone and adjusting the radio.

Trump clarified, “He tested negative for alcohol, and he’s under immense physical pressure due to his various ailments, particularly his back and leg issues.”

“He lives with a lot of pain. He’s an incredible person and an extraordinary athlete, but he does suffer from pain,” Trump stated.

The former president emphasized, “He doesn’t have a problem with alcohol, but he certainly has to deal with pain.”
