Jake Paul has finally addressed the swirling rumors that he ended his engagement with Jutta Leerdam, his fiancée and professional speed skater.
On Monday night, the social media star turned boxer released a passionate statement, condemning the “inaccurate information” that has circulated online over the past week.
Paul took to X, stating, “It’s disheartening to see the Dutch media spreading lies about my fiancée Jutta and me. There’s been a lot of misinformation regarding Jutta for years now.”
The 29-year-old insisted, “This nonsense must end,” underscoring his frustration with the situation.
Rumors originating on April 6 in the Netherlands, Leerdam’s home country, suggested that Paul had ended their engagement following a significant argument between them.
Yvonne Coldeweijer, a Dutch media figure, was quick to report on these claims, remarking, “Jutta has been dumped by her fiancé Jake! He is completely done with her!”
Jake Paul has broken his silence amid bombshell reports claiming he cheated on his fiancee
Reports in the Netherlands alleged that Paul had called off his engagement to Jutta Leerdam
‘Two weeks ago Jake dropped her off at home, took the ring from her, and broke off the engagement and thus the relationship,’ Coldeweijer continued.
Coldeweijer’s claims, which were also reported by Dutch outlet Socialniews.nl, further alleged that Paul had cheated on his speed-skater fiancee in recent weeks.
Taking to her Instagram again, Coldeweijer said: ‘It seems that Jake is cheating with anyone and everyone. He even makes the women he cheats with sign an NDA.’
There is no evidence to support any of her claims.
The reports emerged amid a lack of social media interaction between the pair in recent weeks, with fans noting that Paul had not liked a number of Leerdam’s posts.
However, fans have since noted that Leerdam had been liking Paul’s posts.
The speculation was also fueled by a post last week from Paul’s mother, Pam Stepnick, where she wrote a lengthy caption about the challenges of marriage.
She said: ‘Marriage isn’t about finding someone perfect — it’s about choosing someone whose imperfections you understand, accept, and are willing to stand beside anyway.

Taking to X, Paul said: ‘Seeing the Dutch media lying about my fiancé Jutta and I. There is so much false information being spread about Jutta in the past years.
Leerdam and Paul went public in their relationship in 2023 and were engaged two years later
‘You don’t just marry their best days, their strengths, or the version of them that’s easy to love. You marry their fears, their flaws, their habits, their history — all of it.
‘Real love is saying: I see you fully… and I’m still choosing you. And if you can’t accept the whole person — not just the highlight reel — then it’s not a forever kind of love.’
Coldeweijer’s reports claimed that Leerdam had turned to Paul’s mother following their alleged breakup. She ‘told this to his mother while crying,’ the report claimed.
Paul’s speed-skater fiancee has often been the topic of conversation in her home country and was recently labelled as a ‘diva’ during the Winter Olympics.
The Dutch reports took issue with Leerdam’s decision to take a private jet to the Games in Milan-Cortina, while the rest of her Dutch teammates travelled together.
At the time, Dutch analyst Johan Derksen said: ‘She should want it of her own accord. She’s already living like a millionaire, with private jets and everything.
‘Her behavior is horrible to me. If I were her coach, I wouldn’t tolerate that. Gradually the whole of the Netherlands is starting to get a bit fed up with her behavior.’
A post from Paul’s mother, Pam, also drew speculation from fans on social media

De Telegraaf analyst Valentijn Driessen also revealed that Leerdam’s picture had appeared almost everywhere in the build up to the games.
‘Everywhere along the highway you see: ‘Support Jutta, support Jutta’,’ she wrote. ‘I think she’s the only Dutch representative for the entire Olympic Games.’
Leerdam has been thrust into the spotlight thanks to her romance with renowned YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul, who she began dating back in 2023.
Paul popped the question in March last year. There are yet to be any updates on their wedding.
