Michael J. Fox says he's 'alive' after death rumors fueled by CNN

Michael J. Fox recently found himself at the center of a whirlwind of false rumors regarding his death. These rumors stirred quite a commotion among fans who mistakenly believed the beloved actor had passed away.

The confusion began with a significant error by CNN, which published an article titled “Remembering the Life of Actor Michael J. Fox.” The headline understandably alarmed fans of the “Back to the Future” star, leading to widespread concern.

However, the 64-year-old actor quickly dispelled these rumors. Through his representative, Fox assured everyone that he is alive and well. In fact, just a day prior to the erroneous report, Fox was actively participating in an event, engaging with audiences on stage.

His representative confirmed to TMZ, stating, “Michael is doing great. He was at PaleyFest yesterday. He was on stage and giving interviews.” This statement helped to quickly calm the anxious fans.

In response to the mix-up, CNN swiftly retracted the mistaken article. They issued an apology to Michael J. Fox and his family, explaining to TMZ, “The package was published in error; we have removed it from our platforms and send our apologies to Michael J. Fox and his family.”

CNN, meanwhile, quickly backpedaled, issuing a statement to TMZ that read: ‘The package was published in error; we have removed it from our platforms and send our apologies to Michael J. Fox and his family.’

The death rumors surfaced after Fox recently reunited with his Back to the Future co-star Christopher Lloyd.

Earlier this month, Fox made an appearance at the Actor Awards, formerly known as the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards.

He shared a heartwarming tale about how his acting career led to his meeting his wife, Family Ties co-star Tracy Pollan, with whom he has four children.

Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991, at just 29 years old, and publicly revealed his condition in 1998. O

ver the years, his symptoms have progressively worsened, with Fox revealing in interviews that he experiences tremors, difficulty with movement, and speech challenges.
