In a courtroom appearance today, a man from Geraldton faced charges related to the murder of Terry Foord, an incident that unfolded in Perth’s northern suburbs. The accused, Anthony Walley, has been implicated in the death of the 69-year-old at a state housing residence located in Padbury.

Foord was discovered with life-threatening injuries on Wednesday night. Despite the best efforts of emergency services, who administered first aid, he was transported to Royal Perth Hospital where he tragically passed away shortly thereafter.

Following the incident, homicide detectives and forensic officers swiftly commenced a thorough investigation to collect crucial evidence. Authorities suspect that Walley and Foord were familiar with one another, a point that adds a layer of complexity to the case.

Residents in the neighborhood have reported frequent disturbances emanating from the Buchanan Way property, noting that this was not the first occasion law enforcement had been summoned to the address due to such issues.

Police believe the pair were known to each other.

Neighbours say they regularly heard yelling at the house and this wasn’t the first time police were called to the Buchanan Way home.

The 39-year-old accused, from the Geraldton suburb of Wonthella, about four hours north of Padbury, was arrested at the scene.

Walley has been remanded in custody and will be back in court at the end of the month.
