In a triumphant return to television after a 16-year hiatus, ABC’s “Scrubs” has wrapped up its first revival season. The beloved medical comedy series reintroduced fans to familiar faces, with Zach Braff reprising his role as Dr. John “J.D.” Dorian, Sarah Chalke as Dr. Elliot Reid, and Donald Faison as Dr. Chris Turk. Joining them were original cast members Judy Reyes as Carla and John C. McGinley as the acerbic Dr. Perry Cox.
The revival season, consisting of nine episodes, culminates in a finale titled “My Celebration.” This episode promises a whirlwind of events at Sacred Heart Hospital, challenging both doctors and interns as they grapple with burnout, make life-altering decisions, and explore their interpersonal relationships.
At a special screening of the finale, On The Red Carpet caught up with the cast, who shared some insights into what audiences can anticipate. Zach Braff described the finale as both touching and humorous, suggesting it contains more laughs than any other episode this season. “It’s very moving, but also funny. There’s probably more laughs in the finale than any other episode. I will say that,” Braff remarked, hinting at a comedic yet emotionally resonant conclusion.
Donald Faison expressed his enthusiasm, echoing Braff’s sentiments. “I laughed my butt off watching it, and I’m not usually privy to seeing the episodes. Zach’s very secretive and holds on to them really tight, but it’s really good, and I’m excited for everybody else,” Faison shared, revealing his anticipation for the audience’s reception.

The season finale of “Scrubs” premieres April 15 at 8/7c on ABC. Stream the episodes on Hulu.
